MAINTENANCE TRAINEE POSITION - The City of New Boston, (pop. 632 estimated residents) located 40 miles southwest of the Quad Cities in Mercer County, seeks qualified candidate for Maintenance Department. Position responsible for assisting with daily operations of utilities department, including waste/water treatment plant operations, municipal well operations, and natural gas operations. Also city park maintenance and cemetery maintenance. Eligibility requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, CDL license, experience with heavy equipment, helpful but not required plumber's license or apprenticeship, willingness to get further education in natural gas certification, possess certification in Class B Water Operator and Class 4 Wastewater Operator or be willing to certify.
